Steps to Apply Jamberry Nails

1: Clean your fingernails (or toenails) with nail polish remover or plan rubbing alcohol. (Important: clean, oil-free nails are Photo for How to Apply Jamberry Nails Page -- Prep and Application Toolsunquestionably one of the most vital aspects of getting the best application possible.)

2: Cut and file your nails to your preferred shape and length.

3: Buff the top of each nail and be sure to push back cuticles.

4: Match each fingernail (or toenail) to the nail shield that provided the best fit.

5: Peel off a Jamberry Nail Shield and warm it with a blow-dryer or hair dryer for 10-15 seconds or until the shield is soft and pliable.

6: After the shield is warm, press the shield firmly onto the nail.  Apply firm pressure around the edges of the nail to strongly adhere the shield to the nail.  Use a rubber cuticle pusher to seal the Jamberry Nail Shield around the cuticle.

7:  Trim any excess across the top pf your nails with scissors. File off any remaining shield using a downward motion to remove any excess.

8: Apply heat and pressure to the shield again until it is sealed to the nail. (Repeating this step several times will help create a tight seal to the nail surface. This definitely increases the wear time of the shields.)

9: (Optional) Active users may wish to add a small amount of nail glue to the free edge to better seal the nail shield.

Other application tips:

Do one nail at a time following each of the above steps. This ensures that each nail is as clean as possible which makes adhesion much stronger.
